Mahomet-Seymour JV golf finishes second at UI Course

Entering a junior varsity team in a three-school varsity boys’ golf meet on Monday (Aug. 29) at the UI Course, in Savoy, the Bulldogs finished in second place.
Freshmen Cole Thrasher and Zach Blumenshine paced M-S. Thrasher fired a 42 and finished third individually. Blumenshine carded a 48 and ended in a fifth-place tie.
Other Bulldog participants were Brogan Hennesy (51), Aden Bergman (52), Riley Dowers (52) and Carter Henriksen (52).
Monticello filed a composite 171 score to win team honors. M-S totaled 193 and Centennial was third (214).
