Mahomet-Seymour Girls’ Tennis Dominates Watseka 7-0, Extends Unbeaten Streak to 11-0

The unbeaten Mahomet-Seymour girls’ tennis team won every match on Tuesday (Sept. 24) at Watseka, recording a 7-0 dual-meet victory.
Two Bulldog entries in singles and two in doubles not only did not lose a set, but won every game.
Ashley Shoaf was triumphant at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0, and teammate Elana Religioso also recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win.
In doubles, at No. 1, Adella Bird and Holland Martin earned an 8-0 win. At No. 3 doubles, Shoaf and Lindsay Gowler also secured an 8-0 win.
Other M-S winners were Charlotte Mercer (6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles) and Eliza Agate (6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles) as well as the No. 2 doubles duo of Religioso and Haley Reed (8-4).
All four of the Bulldogs’ singles winners are undefeated for the season. In doubles, Shoaf and Gowler have not been beaten this season.
M-S (11-0) returns to action on Thursday (Sept.26) at home on the Middletown Courts against Lincoln.
