Mahomet-Seymour Girls’ Tennis Dominates Kankakee Bishop McNamara with 8 Sweeps, Remains Unbeaten

Mahomet-Seymour’s unbeaten girls’ tennis team not only won every match on Thursday (Sept. 12) at home against Kankakee Bishop McNamara, but the Bulldogs recorded 6-0, 6-0 sweeps in eight of the nine matches, including each one in singles.

The No. 2 doubles team of Briley Miller and Loriana Selimi had the toughest time, outlasting Kendra Escamilla and Rozalie Stipp, 6-1, 2-6, 10-7.

Winning without losing a game was the entire M-S singles’ lineup of Adella Bird (No. 1), Holland Martin (No. 2), Elana Religioso (No. 3), Haley Reed (No. 4), Eliza Agate (No. 5) and Ashley Shoaf (No. 6).

Following suit in doubles with 6-0, 6-0 triumphs were Caroline Aden and Emme Laughton at No. 1 Harper Young and Sydney Rovey at No. 3.

M-S (7-0) returns to action on Monday (Sept. 16) at Champaign Central.
