Mahomet-Seymour Girls’ Soccer Celebrates Senior Night with Dominant 6-0 Victory Over Danville

Seniors got in on the scoring in the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ soccer Senior Night match on Thursday (April 25), a 6-0 win at Middletown Field over Danville.
Sophia Davis, Maggie Moore and Audrey Marshall were credited with assists in the Bulldogs’ fifth shutout of the spring. Moore also notched a goal.
The fourth senior, Nadia Biegler, “controlled the midfield throughout the night, winning balls and playing them into the strikers feet.”
M-S led, 5-0, at halftime.
Erika Johnson scored twice for the Bulldogs. Teammates with a goal and an assist – besides Moore – were Hannah Creel and Paislee Welge.
Camryn Nelson booted the other M-S goal.
Anna Streicher logged one save.
M-S (7-3-3) has received the No. 1 regional seed. The Bulldogs will return to action on Tuesday (April 30) at home against Mattoon.
The M-S junior varsity squad also shut out Danville, 6-0.
