Ainsley Winters carded a team-best 44 on Thursday (Aug. 19) and was one stroke away from meet medalist honors at Lake of the Woods.
M-S defeated Normal West 190-225. St. Thomas More also participated but did not have enough players to be scored as a team.
Following Winters for the Bulldogs were Kayla McKinney (47), Gaby Davis (49), Emma Dallas (50), Maddy Clark (51) and Alaina Jared (57).
In the junior varsity portion of the meet, the Bulldogs’ leader was Lainey Shoaf (63).
The Bulldogs competed in the 13-school Charleston Scramble on Monday (Aug. 16). The best score for M-S was the Winters/Davis duo (41). Clark/McKinney teamed up for a 45 as did the two-person team of Dallas and Sydney Carleton.
Dallas won an award for closest to the pin on a designated par-3 hole.
M-S (2-0) returns to action on Monday (Aug. 23) against Blue Ridge, in Farmer City.
