Mahomet-Seymour girls’ basketball holds on in win over Normal

Junior Reese Gallier pumped in a career-high 29 points on Thursday (Jan. 4) as the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ basketball team topped Normal West, 62-58, in a non-conference contest in Normal.
Gallier tossed in four three-point shots.
Sidney Young was 7-for-7 from the free throw line and contributed 13 points. She hit eight of her points in the last quarter.
The Bulldogs took a 49-35 advantage into the final eight minutes.
Kylie Waldinger netted nine points. Other scorers for M-S were Adaline Eisenmann (five points), Ellie Dallas (three points) and Courtney Fonte (three points).
The Bulldogs (8-8) return to action on Tuesday (Jan. 9) at home against Mattoon.
