Mahomet-Seymour FFA Dinner and Dessert Auction on March 1
The Mahomet-Seymour FFA program will host its annual Dinner and Dessert Auction at Mahomet-Seymour High School on March 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The money raised at the Dessert and Dinner Auction will be used to help curb the expenses the FFA program has to cover each year. FFA members participate in a variety of agricultural competitions throughout the state and often times, as students advance, they travel outside of Illinois to compete in National competitions.
Funds also help with The Middletown Prairie FFA PALS program, IMPACT Leadership program at Lincoln Trail, Kindergarten Plant Science Field Day, and the BulldogTrails community service project at Middletown Prairie Elementary.
The FFA program also helps younger students understand the importance of agriculture in our society through the MSJHS Ag Club.
Like most things in the Ag Department at Mahomet-Seymour High School, FFA members have developed the entire Desserts and Dinner Auction by finding an auctioneer, bakers, designing a marketing plan, and selling tickets.
