Mahomet-Seymour Color Guard places first at IDTA Competition, qualifies for State

The Mahomet-Seymour Color Guard took the court and first place with their color guard routine at the Illinois Drill Team Association (IDTA) competition in Clinton Saturday.

They also placed second with their Lyrical flag routine.

Both routines qualified the Bulldogs for the IDTA State Competition on February 15 in Springfield.

Solists Cayla Emmerd and Amanda William placed first and third, respectively, qualifying for the State competition as well.

IDTA also chose Tim Cubberly to receive the Rising Star Award for his performance during the color guard routine.
