Mahomet-Seymour Boys’ Soccer Dominates with Back-to-Back Wins, Hoffman Nets Hat Tricks in Conference Play

After scoring just eight goals in its first seven matches, the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ soccer team has unleashed a new-look offense since starting Apollo Conference play.
The Bulldogs upended Charleston 8-1 on Thursday (Sept. 12) in Charleson and followed up with a 6-1 win at home on Tuesday (Sept. 16) against Mattoon.
Travis Hoffman turned in hat tricks in both contests. In addition, he had two assists against Mattoon and one against Charleston.
Noah Crane produced a goal and two assists against Mattoon. He tallied one goal against Charleston.
Colin Jackson added a goal and an assist against Mattoon as well as two goals and one assist at Charleston.
Other goal-scorers against Charleston were Preston Sriver, Chris Bowie and Brock Evans.
Sriver contributed two assists against Mattoon.
Other teammates with assists against Charleston were Isaac Biegler, Sean Dady-Dreher and Jamison Griffen.
M-S (4-4-1 overall and 2-0 in Apollo Conference matches) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 19) at Mount Zion.
