Mahomet-Seymour Bass Fishing Team Nets State Finals Spot with Stellar Performance at Clinton Lake Sectional

Mahomet-Seymour’s bass fishing team reserved a berth in the IHSA state finals by virtue of its runner-up finish on Thursday (May 2) in the sectional at Clinton Lake.
M-S freshman Brayden Rivest caught the day’s biggest bass, 6 pounds and 1 ounce.
Rivest and freshman teammate Andrew Crawford weighed in bass totaling 9 pounds and 6 ounces as the Bulldogs placed second to Argenta-Oreana (15 pounds, 7 ounces).
In third place was Clinton (7 pounds, 8 ounces). The top three teams qualified for the 15th-annual state meet on May 17-18 at Lake Carlyle.
