Mahomet-Seymour 7th-grade basketball defeats Charleston after loss to Unity

The M-S seventh-grade boys’ basketball team extended its winning streak to five games before it came to a halt.
The last win in the streak was on Monday (Feb. 22), a 30-4 triumph at Champaign Franklin. Jackson Bohm led a balanced attack with eight points. Landon Hannah scored seven points. Cade Ashby had four points and Cole Popovich ended with three points.
On Thursday (Feb. 25), Tolono Unity captured a 47-37 win on the Bulldogs’ court. Hannah had a team-high 13 points. Nolan Franz contributed 10 points. Bohm had five points and Nolan Sanderson tallied four points.
On Saturday (Feb. 27), M-S overpowered Charleston 40-33 at home. Bohm hit a team-high 12 points. Sanderson added eight points. Cole Thrasher and Hannah each netted six points. Ryan Pruitt totaled five points.
M-S (6-3) returns to action on Thursday (March 4) at home against Paris Crestwood.
