The Mahomet Public Library is gearing up for its much-anticipated annual book sale, offering community members the chance to stock up on great reads at bargain prices. The multi-day event will run from Thursday, October 9 through Sunday, October 12, with a special preview night reserved exclusively for Friends of the Library members.
Memberships can be purchased at the door for those eager to gain first choice among the hundreds of gently used books, including popular fiction, nonfiction, children’s titles, and more.
The sale continues for the public on Friday, October 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and wraps up Sunday, October 12 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. By Sunday, books are free with donations accepted.
For more information, visit the Mahomet Public Library or call their main desk for details on joining the Friends of the Library and participating in the preview event.

While we appreciate you mentioning the sale, there are several things in the article that are not accurate. The book sales are put on by Friends of the Mahomet Public Library, not the library itself. We have two sales a year: one in the spring and another in the fall. Sundays are always Free, with donations appreciated. We do not offer any special pricing on that day. Thank you, again, for writing an article that the sale is happening this week.
Warm Regards,
Charmaine Baldazzi
President, Friends of the Mahomet Public Library and Book Sale Chairperson
