Mahomet Public Library Kicks Off Summer Fun Fridays for All Ages

The Mahomet Public Library is set to become the hottest spot in town for families and community members of all ages this summer, launching its eagerly anticipated “Fun Fridays” event series. Each Friday morning in June and July, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, the library will host a variety of engaging activities, outdoor games, and special performances—offering something for everyone, completely free and with no registration required.

A Summer Schedule Packed with Variety

The Fun Fridays lineup promises a fresh experience each week:

  • June 6: Field Day at the Library!
    Kick off the summer with classic outdoor activities and games. In the event of rain, the fun moves indoors with a creative drop-in craft program.
  • June 13: Magic with Joel Shoemaker
    Be amazed by professional magician Joel Shoemaker in a special performance sure to delight audiences of all ages. (Show ends at 11:00 am)
  • June 20: Unlazy River
    Test your skills on an outdoor obstacle course designed for fun and laughter. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, enjoy a hands-on craft session inside.
  • June 27: Do Art! With Do Art Productions
    Unleash your creativity with Do Art Productions in an interactive art experience. (Show ends at 11:00 am)
  • July 11: Minecraft BINGO
    Dive into a game of BINGO with a Minecraft twist—perfect for fans of the popular game and newcomers alike.
  • July 18: Bigger Bang Bubble Show with Absolute Science
    Witness the science and spectacle of bubbles in a high-energy show by Absolute Science. (Show ends at 11:00 am)
  • July 25: Blast From the Past: Nostalgic Toys Open Play
    Wrap up the summer with a playful trip down memory lane, featuring classic toys and games for open play.
