Mahomet Farmer’s Market to open June 5

The fourth-annual Mahomet Market, sponsored by the Mahomet Area Chamber of Commerce, will start on Saturday, June 5. The weekly event will continue through Labor Day weekend.

The market will be open from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. at the new Chamber headquarters, 401 W. Oak St., Mahomet. The Chamber relocated its facility from Main St. in April.

Vendors are still being sought and anyone interested can contact Walter Pierce at the Chamber office to be added to the list. Pierce can be reached at 217-840-2700.

Among the vendors that have committed thus far for the opening week are Central Illinois Bakehouse, Maple Street Gardens (garden produce and honey), Ollie and Liz Baked Goods, This Week with Pamela (crafts), Alexander’s Prime Time Seasoning and Rubs, Black Bear Bakery, Color Street with Playground Posh (kids’ clothing and nails), Christian CDs with Karolina Snyder, Mixie’s Bakery (baked goods and crafts) and Brien’s Bistro (food truck).

Among the other vendors who will be on site at times during the summer are Three Silent Farmers, Village Garden Shop, Salted Spade Garden Goods, Pink Zebra (wax melts) and Heater’s Haven (hemp and CBD products).
