Mahomet Family Dentistry Athlete of the Week: Will Sampson

Mahomet-Seymour Shortstop Will Sampson pounded his second home run of the 2021 season in the 10-3 Bulldog win over Effingham.

His first home run came in a 13-2 win over Centennial earlier this month. 

With a team-high three hits, Sampson also crossed home plate three times against the Apollo Conference rival.

For the 2021 season, Sampson’s batting average is at .457 with 16 hits, 14 runs and 13 RBIs. 

The senior who will walk across the graduation stage this evening was also named an Illinois State Scholar.
