Mahomet Family Dentistry Athlete of the Week: Kylie Waldinger
Kylie Waldinger continues to make her presence known on the basketball court.
The 5’8” sophomore began 2023 scoring 13 points with 5 rebounds, helping the Bulldogs to post their first win of the year against Normal West.
The Bulldogs came home mid-January to edge out Mattoon in the Coaches vs. Cancer game. Waldinger contributed 6 points and 4 rebounds. Against Sacred Heart Griffin, Waldinger posted 8 of Mahomet-Seymour’s 32 points then went on to score 7 of the Bulldog’s 23 against Morton.
The Bulldogs defeated Chatham Glenwood on the 21st. Waldinger scored 9 points in that victory and helped spark a fourth-quarter run, scoring 8 of her 10 points, to put Mahomet-Seymour in striking distance of Mount Zion earlier this week.
Mahomet-Seymour came up big for the school’s 8 seniors in a 77-13 win over Charleston Thursday night. Waldinger grabbed 5 rebounds and scored 9 points in that win.
