The Mahomet Auto Fest may have been canceled, but organizers have put together an event that will showcase cars while also providing a way for community members to get together in a socially distanced way.

The Mahomet Auto Fest Cruise is scheduled for July 12 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Drivers are asked to meet at Mahomet-Seymour High School at 1 p.m. to line up for a cruise through Lake of the Woods. The group will then take off, heading east on State then Franklin before heading north on IL-47 towards the Lake of the Woods entrance near the Museum of the Grand Prairie. 

The cruise will end on the east side of the park near the suspension bridge. 

There is no entry fee.
