M-SJHS 7th grade basketball on four-game win streak

Ava Yeakel and Erin Dallas provided an offensive spark on Thursday (April 15) as the seventh-grade Mahomet-Seymour girls’ basketball team defeated Unity, 24-15, at home.
Yeakel tallied six points and Dallas scored five points.
On Saturday (April 17), Yeakel scored 10 of her game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter as M-S rallied to edge visiting Clinton 30-27.
On Monday (April 19), matched its top defensive performance of the season, blitzing Champaign Edison 32-6 in Mahomet. Dallas led the Bulldogs with seven points.
M-S had previously held Champaign St. Matthew to six points in a March victory.
On Tuesday (April 20), the Bulldogs scored their highest point total of the season, running past Jefferson 50-24 in Champaign.
Yeakel led the way with 11 points. The balanced offensive attack also featured 10 points from Lily Bosworth, seven points from Dallas as well as six points apiece from Alivia Lewis and Anna Streicher.
M-S (10-2) returns to action on Thursday (April 22) at St. Joseph. The seventh-graders have won four consecutive games.
