M-S Volleyball splits mid-week matches

The scores were identical on Tuesday and Thursday, but the outcomes were different.

Two days after the Mahomet-Seymour volleyball team lost a 25-12, 25-17 decision to Effingham, the Bulldogs returned to the court on Thursday at home against Charleston and produced a 25-12, 25-17 win.

M-S’ Kayin Garner registered a double-double with 24 assists and 11 digs. She also served three aces. Ainsley Ranstead pounded a team-high 14 kills.

In the junior varsity match, the Bulldogs topped Charleston 25-23, 25-14.

M-S (14-6 overall) returns to action on Tuesday at home against Lincoln. The Bulldogs are 4-2 in Apollo Conference matches.
