M-S triumphant over Taylorville, falls to Peoria Richwoods over weekend

Seventh-ranked Peoria Richwoods outraced Mahomet-Seymour, 69-49, in the Watchfire Signs Shootout at Danville on Saturday (Feb. 11).
Jake Waldinger led the Bulldogs with 13 points. He hit three three-point shots.
Trey Peters had 12 points and Dayten Eisenmann contributed seven points.
Peters cleared a team-high five rebounds. Eisenmann, Braden Pagel and Carter Selk each handled four rebounds.
Adam Dyer distributed five assists and Eisenmann chipped in with four assists.
Richwoods led, 19-11, after one quarter and 33-23 at halftime. The Bulldogs drew within six points after intermission before Richwoods pulled away.
On Friday (Feb. 10), Waldinger scored a team-high 14 points, connecting on four three-point shots, leading M-S to its fourth consecutive victory, a 60-36 triumph at home over Taylorville.
Eisenmann, who drilled two three-pointers, chipped in with 13 points.
Peters tallied eight points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds. Selk added seven points.
Wyatt Bohm handed out a team-high seven assists and grabbed five rebounds. Byron Lynch distributed four assists.
M-S jumped into a 19-6 lead after one quarter and led, 31-17 at halftime.
The Bulldogs (12-15) close out the regular season on Thursday (Feb. 16) at Lincoln.
