M-S Soccer shuts out Metamora

Ian Dobrucki and Isaac Warren each tallied two goals on Tuesday (Aug. 23) as the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ soccer team opened the season with a 5-0 triumph at Metamora.
Carson Reed also netted a goal as the Bulldogs opened up a 3-0 halftime margin.
Goalkeeper Zach Beyer had three saves, including a key one when the match was still scoreless.
Kai Jones had two of the five M-S assists. Finishing with one assist apiece were Mitchell McAnally, Nick Tjahjadi and Nolan Wheeler.
M-S (1-0) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 25) at Centennial.
In junior varsity action on Tuesday, M-S won 3-0. Hayden Littleken had two goals and Colin Jackson had one.
