M-S golf rolling into end of season strong

M-S captured a win on Monday in a three-school junior varsity match at Meadowview Golf Course.
M-S (186) defeated Charleston (192) and Mattoon (200).
Austin Remus registered the low Bulldog score (45), followed by Erik Christianson (46), John Wagner (47), Blake Harvey (48), Jackson Glenn (50) and Hunter Thomas (53).
On Tuesday, Harvey fired a 44 and tied for third place in a varsity dual meet with Centennial at Lake of the Woods.
Centennial was the meet winner, 172-179.
Other M-S scores included 45s by Brandon Collins, Jameson Drinkwalter and Sam Mitchaner as well as a 47 by C.J. Shoaf and a 55 by Jacob Louis.
In the JV match, M-S topped the Chargers, 194-214.
M-S’ Ryan Long was the JV medalist with a 47.
He was followed by teammates Zach Courson and Remus with 48s. Finishing at 51s were Christianson and Jackson White.
Carter Selk carded a 52.
M-S returns to action today at the Pontiac Scramble.
