M-S Golf finishes in fifth place tie at Craig Dixon Invitational

The Mahomet-Seymour boys’ golf team finished in a fifth-place tie on Saturday (Sept. 9) in the 32-school Craig Dixon Invitational played at Meadowview and Mattoon Country Club.
Team titlist Chatham Glenwood posted a team composite of 605. M-S finished at 628, along with Mattoon.
No Bulldogs placed among the top 10 individually.
The team’s best two-day score was recorded by Kelton Hennesy (155). He had rounds of 79 and 76.
Cole Thrasher recorded a 157 on rounds of 76 and 81.
Both Reis Claybrooke and Carter Henrikson turned in 158s. Claybrooke and Henrikson each scored rounds of 76 and 82.
Jacob Schoudel put together a 164 on rounds of 81 and 83. Parker Clements had a 170 on matching 85s.
M-S (5-0 in duals and triangulars) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 12) at Lincolnshire Fields Country Club against St. Thomas More and Rantoul.
