Mahomet-Seymour golfers swept the top three spots on Thursday (Sept. 16) in a three-school boys’ meet at Willow Pond, in Rantoul.
Medalist Reis Claybrooke carded a season-best 38 to lead the way. Teammates closely behind were runner-up Zach Courson (40) and third-place finisher John Schlenker (41).
Erik Christianson shot a 42 and tied for fourth.
The other M-S competitors were Brian Coyne (43) and Blake Harvey (46).
M-S posted a team composite score of 161. Team runner-up Rantoul/PBL shot a 180 and third-place St. Thomas More came in at 184. The Bulldogs’ 161 score matched their season’s best.
M-S (6-3) returns to action on Monday (Sept. 20) at Lake of the Woods in the Apollo Conference Tournament.
