M-S 8th grade team rounds up 30th career win

Mahomet-Seymour’s eighth-grade girls’ basketball team held visiting Unity to one first-half point on Thursday (April 15) and the Bulldogs went on to post a 42-10 triumph.
At halftime, M-S led, 28-1.
Selah Campion became the fourth squad member to score in double figures this season, hitting a team-high 10 points. Reese Gallier and Grace Binkley each contributed eight points.
On Saturday (April 17), the eighth-graders dealt previously unbeaten Clinton a 32-13 loss, marking the 30th career win (in 34 games) for the eighth-grade group during their junior high careers.
Binkley hit a team-high 10 points. Kylie Waldinger added eight points.
On Monday (April 19), the Bulldogs registered their best defensive effort of the season, topping Champaign Edison 36-7 in Champaign.
Three previous M-S opponents had been limited to 10 points.
Waldinger led the Bulldogs with nine points. Ellie Dallas contributed seven points.
On Tuesday (April 20), M-S eclipsed the 40-point mark for the fifth game this season en route to a double-digit win over Jefferson in Champaign, 43-24.
Binkley (17 points) and Gallier (12 points) both achieved career highs for scoring. Gallier sunk 6 of 6 free throws.
M-S (11-1) returns to action on Thursday (April 22) at St. Joseph. The eighth-graders are working on a 10-game winning streak.
