Long Powers Mahomet-Seymour to Victory with Clutch Hits Against Teutopolis

Junior Raymond Long swatted a three-run home run to break up a scoreless game in the third inning on Monday (March 25) at Teutopolis to propel the Mahomet-Seymour baseball team to a 6-1 victory.
Long also delivered a run-scoring single in the fifth inning.
The other M-S RBI was by Cade Starrick. Gavin Bailey scored two runs. Camden Heinold, Starrick and Finn Randolph each crossed home plate once, in addition to Long.
Mason Orton snagged his first pitching win of the spring. He threw five innings of one-hit ball, walking two and striking out six.
Miles Woolsey pitched the last two innings. He walked three and fanned two.
M-S (4-1) returns to action at home on Thursday (March 28) against St. Joseph-Ogden (9-1).
