After falling behind,13-6, after one quarter, the Bulldogs pulled ahead, 24-23, at halftime. With two minutes left in the Apollo Conference contest, M-S was within two points.

Dayten Eisenmann netted 12 points to go with four assists for the Bulldogs. Adam Dyer came off the bench to score 10 points.
Carter Selk also distributed four assists. Trey Peters wound up with three rebounds and three blocked shots. Finn Randolph cleared three rebounds as well.
“Our kids played very well and had themselves in a position to win the game with a couple of minutes to go,” M-S coach Ryan Bosch said, “but Lincoln was good down the stretch to open up what was a two-point game to the final margin.
“I was very pleased with our effort. We’ve got a lot on our end that is correctable. We’ll grow from this game in all the right ways.”
M-S (7-8) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 10) at home against Mattoon in the Coaches Vs. Cancer game that will be preceded by a girls’ Coaches Vs. Cancer game between the same schools.
