Letter to the Editor: Stoecker writes in support of Keefe
On April 2nd, I will be casting my vote for Ken Keefe for the school board. I met Ken and became familiar with his dedication to the school district as we both served on the Mahomet-Seymour Parent Teacher Organization board. In the time that I’ve known him, he’s acted in many roles in the PTO, but most notably he chaired the Dawg Walk this year, which raised a record-breaking amount for the two elementary schools. Ken managed the online donation site, secured prizes for the students, convinced many sponsors to donate money, and even hosted and organized the sliming of the principals. Ken was willing to spend long nights and weekends counting and recounting the funds raised and sorting prizes just so every student at Middletown Prairie and Lincoln Trail could get their prizes on the same day and not one would be disappointed. He will bring that same commitment and drive to the school board. I have no doubt that he will listen and connect with the families and teachers of the community and get the hard work done. Ken is fun, professional, diligent, and committed to the children of this community. I really hope everyone will join me and vote for Ken on April 2nd!
