By Fred Kroner
Two months after he last played in a game, Mahomet-Seymour senior Luke Koller returned to the court on Saturday (Jan. 22) and scored a team-high 16 points as the Bulldogs upended Chatham Glenwood, 51-43.
Koller came off the bench to hit 5-of-10 shots from the field and 5-of-8 free throws in his first action after missing 18 games with a shoulder injury. Koller hit his lone three-point attempt.
Quenton Rogers scored nine points, Dayten Eisenmann had eight points and Blake Wolters registered six points to go with a game-high 13 rebounds. Eisenmann had three assists.
Wyatt Bohm handed out seven assists, grabbed seven rebounds and collected four steals. He scored four points.
M-S came out firing and grabbed a 22-7 lead after one quarter. However, Glenwood pulled even, 39-39, entering the final period, but the Bulldog defense permitted just four points down the stretch.
M-S (10-10) returns to action on Tuesday (Jan. 25) at Bloomington.
