Kogut and Lunney Secure Singles Wins Despite Mahomet-Seymour’s Tennis Defeat at Mount Zion

Caidan Kogut and Samuel Lunney registered straight-sets wins on Monday (April 15) for the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ tennis team, but the Bulldogs lost a 7-2 dual-meet decision at Mount Zion.

Kogut beat Max Iwanski, 6-3, 6-2. Lunney, who is unbeaten for the year in singles, prevailed,6-2, 7-6 (6).

In doubles, the Bulldogs’ No. 3 team of Kogut and Jack Louis dropped a narrow loss to Thomas Kanemaru and Iwanski, 4-6, 6-4, 12-10.

M-S (2-2) returns to action on Thursday (April 18)) at Urbana in the continuation of a match that was started on Tuesday.
