Kogut and Lunney Remain Undefeated in Singles Despite Mahomet-Seymour’s Loss at Urbana

Junior Caidan Kogut and freshman Samuel Lunney maintained their unbeaten records in singles on Thursday (April 18) in Mahomet-Seymour’s 7-2 dual-meet loss at Urbana.
Kogut, at No. 5 singles, topped Luke Pankau, 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 while Lunney handled Jack Perry, 6-4, 4-6, 10-4.
Kogut has a 4-0 season record. Lunney is 5-0.
At No. 1 and No. 2 singles, Bulldog entries suffered narrow losses.
At No. 1, Jacob Atteberry lost to Xander Ashley, 6-4, 3-6, 10-8, and at No. 2, Caleb Bushue suffered a tough 6-1, 2-6, 10-7 setback against Joe Solava.
M-S (2-3) returns to action on Tuesday (April 23) at home against Taylorville at Middletown Courts.
