Kody Ackman Leads Mahomet-Seymour to Another Shutout Victory in 8-0 Win Over Hoopeston Area

Kody Ackman fired the third shutout thrown by a Mahomet-Seymour baseball pitcher in the team’s last seven games on Thursday (April 25), an 8-0 decision at home over Hoopeston Area.
Ackman (2-1) pitched five innings and scattered two hits. He walked no one and struck out three.
Miles Woolsey worked the final three innings. He allowed one hit, no walks and registered six strikeouts.
Cade Starrick garnered two hits for the Bulldogs. Teammates notching one hit each were Camden Heinold, Finn Randolph, Gavin Bailey, Raymond Long, Tyson Finch, Noah Butler and Nolan Johnson.
Bailey tallied three runs and Randolph scored twice. Long, Butler and Johnson all tallied one run.
Long, Finch, Henry Wagner, Matthew Orr and Johnson all collected one RBI. Randolph, Bailey and Starrick all stole a base.
M-S (16-5) returns to action on Monday (April 29) at Centennial.
