Senior Max Katz placed 44th in the state diving competition on Friday (Feb. 25) at FMC Natatorium in Westmont. He finished with a score of 153.30.
There were 48 qualifiers.
Katz was the first member of the M-S swimming and diving team to advance to state. At the sectional, he broke the school record with a composite total of 401.20.“It has been a privilege to work with Max in his swimming and diving these last four years, and I wish him the best in all his future endeavors,” M-S coach Dean Ekberg said.
