Construction on IL-150 at the intersection of Lake of the Woods Rd. has been postponed from March 15 to March 16 due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The construction project will include replacing a sewer line under Rt.150/Oak Street on the east side of the Lake of the Woods Rd intersection. Traffic on Rt. 150/Oak Street will be reduced to one lane so you will experience delays. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on March 16, the traffic signal will be put in an all-way stop, flashing red mode for the duration of the project.
The Intersection will act as a 4-way stop. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Traffic turning left from Lake of the Woods Road onto Rt.150/Oak Street will be delayed, causing potential backups for right turning and through traffic also. Traffic from the Solace Development will also be affected by delays.
Work hours are expected to be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (possibly longer). Outside of work hours, Oak Street will be reopened with possible steel plates covering the excavation of Oak Street. Please slow down and use caution within the construction zones, be respectful of the flaggers, be careful of traffic control items in or near the road, and seek alternate routes if possible.
