Hoffman and Sriver Score as M-S Boys’ Soccer Draws 2-2 with Mount Zion, One Win Away from Apollo Title

Travis Hoffman and Preston Sriver scored goals for the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ soccer team, which battled to a 2-2 draw on Thursday (Oct. 10) against Mount Zion at Middletown Field.

Hoffman and Colin Jackson had assists for the Bulldogs. Hayden Litteken produced seven saves.

M-S needs one win in its final two Apollo Conference matches this week to clinch the outright championship.

The Bulldogs (13-5-2) return to action on Monday (Oct. 14) at Normal Community. The remaining league matches are Tuesday (Oct. 15) at Effingham and Thursday (Oct. 17) at Taylorville.

M-S is 7-0-1 in Apollo Conference play.

Mount Zion is 10-7-2 overall.
