In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Lakeview Subdivision off of Tin Cup Road in Mahomet draws crowds to two light shows that bring the “kid” out of spectators.
Known as the “Superhero House” (206 N. Spruce Drive) and “The Hodges Christmas Light Show” (106 N. Red Bud Court), owners Jason Hodges and Joe Dodge spend the entire year planning to make each year better than the last. Part of that plan for 2021 is “Hodges and Dodge’s MARVELous SANTA Extravaganza” on Dec. 11.
Spectators can enjoy a light show set to Christmas music and an appearance by Santa Clause at Redbud Court from 7 to 9 p.m. Thor and Captain Marvel will also be at the Superhero House during the same time.
Guests are reminded to bring coats, gloves, hats and/or boxed/canned food items to Red Bud Court. Everything will be donated to Mom’s Pantry.
The light shows will continue to run nightly through Christmas.
