Ernie Haase & Signature Sound will be live in concert at Grace Church on Sept. 28, at 7 p.m.
At a very young age, Haase told his parents he wanted to “sing for Jesus.”
He watched the likes of gospel choirs in his Indiana hometown and reveled over the talents of The Cathedrals, an evangelical house gospel trio.
“I remember going to hear them sing anytime they were near my hometown,” Haase said. “When I was a teenager, I would always show up early, sometimes even before they did, and help them unload their bus. It was my dream to sing with them one day.”
Haase joined the quartet in the early 1990’s before forming his own quartet in 2003, four years after The Cathedral group ended its tour in 1999.
While members of the quartet have come and gone over the years, currently Devin McGlamery, Dustin Doyle and Paul Harris round out the group.
Haase has expanded his touch of music over the years, too.
By the time 2011 rolled around, he helped found the Southern Gospel record label, which has become one of gospel music’s fastest-rising labels including powerhouse groups like EHSS, Triumphant, and The Collingsworth Family.
“God has allowed so many of my dreams to come true. I am a very blessed man,” Haase states on the group’s website.
Tickets to see the Grammy-nominated group range from $5 to $30 and can be purchased on itickets.com.
