Ella Walk’s Hat Trick Powers Mahomet-Seymour to Victory in Apollo Conference Opener

A hat trick by Ella Walk helped the Mahomet-Seymour girls’ soccer team open Apollo Conference action on Tuesday (April 2) with an 8-4 win at home over Mount Zion.

The Bulldogs led, 3-0, at intermission, netting three goals in the final 20 minutes of the half.

Jaycee Fancher finished with two goals and three assists. Gwen Cambron had one goal and two assists. Scoring once for M-S were Nadia Biegler and Isabel Lietz.

Biegler also had an assist as did teammates Hannah Creel and Erika Johnson.

Goalkeeper Maggie Moore stopped six shots.

M-S (3-2 overall) returns to action at home on Thursday (April 4) against Charleston.
