David Deschler wins the 71st Naughtin Open golf tournament

David Deschler built a three-stroke lead after one round and held on for a three-shot victory on Sunday (June 4) in the 71st Naughtin Open golf tournament at Lake of the Woods.
Deschler was the medalist on Saturday (June 3), with a 70 and he posted a 76 in the final round for a 146 composite.
The runner-up was Mahomet-Seymour High School student Reis Claybrooke, who had rounds of 73-76 for a 149. Claybrooke will start his junior year at M-S in August.
Third place in the championship flight was shared by Ben Crane (74-76—150) and C.G. Facer (75-75—150).
The first flight winner was Ryan Coleman (79-73—152), followed by Alex Thorson and Zach Thorson, who tied for second with matching rounds of 79-75—154. In fourth place was Andy Facer (80-77—157).
In the second flight, top honors were claimed by Zach Henderson (88-77—165), followed by Tom Sadler (86-92—178). Parrish Capel (88-95—183) was third and Rex Krumwiede (90-96—186) ended in fourth.
The championship flight winner was Brian Beherns (72-81—153). He was followed by Craig Chaney (79-79—158), Jim Rayburn (80-80—160) and Tom Pankau (75-86—161).
Dan Lovekamp was victorious in the championship first flight (91-80—171). Bill Caldwell (88-90—178) was second. Tying for third place were Pete Wilcox (89-90—179) and Don Thompson (91-88—179).
In all, there were 46 competitors.
