Dallas Duo Dishes Out 30 Assists as Mahomet-Seymour Volleyball Opens with a Win Over St. Joseph-Ogden

Senior Ellie Dallas and junior Erin Dallas combined for 30 assists on Tuesday (Sept. 3) as the Mahomet-Seymour volleyball team dispatched visiting St. Joseph-Ogden, 25-22, 25-14.
Ellie Dallas distributed a match-high 17 assists in the Bulldogs’ season-opener.
Leading the offensive attack were Lily Bosworth (nine kills) and Ellie Barker (eight kills). They also made their presence felt at the net defensively with four and three blocks, respectively.
Adaline Eisenmann contributed 10 digs and Barker added eight digs.
The Bulldogs also won the preliminary matches, 20-25, 25-17, 15-12 in the junior varsity contest and 25-18, 25-23 in the freshmen match.
On Wednesday (Sept. 4), M-S suffered a 21-25, 25-21, 25-22 loss at home to Champaign Central.
Bosworth swatted 10 kills and Eisenmann collected 14 digs. Ellie Dallas distributed 16 assists.
M-S won the junior varsity match, 25-5, 25-18 and was also victorious in the freshmen match, 25-11, 25-18.
M-S (1-1) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 5) at Danville.
