Colin Jackson and Preston Sriver scored goals on Wednesday (Aug 28) as the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ soccer team opened its season with a 2-1 win at Metamora.

It was the first match for first-year Bulldog head coach Kerry Lippold.

Jackson intercepted a pass between Metamora defenders and beat the goalie for the first M-S goal of the year.

Sriver, assisted by Travis Hoffman, hit a shot from the 18 with a strike that found the side netting.

Hayen Litteken was the Bulldog goalkeeper and Lippold said, “his distribution was also key to several of our attacks.”

M-S (1-0) returns to action on Thursday (Aug. 29) at Centennial.
