Claybrooke and Olson place first and second at County Golf Tourney

Four Mahomet-Seymour golfers earned all-Champaign County honors on Monday (Sept. 11) after placing among the top 10 finishers in the boys’ County Golf Tournament at Lake of the Woods.
Reis Claybrooke fired a 70 to edge teammate Leif Olson by one stroke for medalist honors.
The other M-S All-County performers were Cole Thrasher, who tied for fifth (79) and Jacob Schoudel, who tied for eighth (81).
The Bulldogs garnered team honors in the seven-school field with a 301 composite. Runner-up Champaign Central accumulated a 322 score and third-place Rantoul/Paxton-Buckley-Loda came in at 328.
Other Bulldog competitors were Carter Henrikson (84) and Parker Clements (88).
M-S (5-0) returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 14) at Lincolnshire Fields Country Club against St. Thomas More and Rantoul.
