Christmas Walk continues to grow
A historical, quiet street. Carolers filling spaces with Christmas cheer. Children lighting up with the magic of Christmas.
After seeing great success with the previous Christmas Walks, the Mahomet Chamber of Commerce is ready to fill the streets of downtown Mahomet with the holiday spirit again on December 2 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Enlisting the help of local businesses, the 2016 Christmas Walk will feature Jingle Bells for Shoes and a Christmas Shop for children at Darwyn Boston’s State Farm, children’s make and take crafts at the American Legion, Santa Photo Op at Phoenix Consulting, Holiday Photo Booth at Prime Light Studio, Paraffin Hand Treatments at Images Hair Designs, Vendor Shopping at Paint Like me and a firetruck display at the Cornbelt Fire Department.
Refreshments will also be served at Busey Bank, JT Walkers, the Quilting Bee, Bulldog Consignment, Hair Pin, Harold Fox & Associates, Nate Evans Group and Wicked Rascals Barber Shop.
The Cornbelt Fire Department will escort Santa to downtown Mahomet on a firetruck at 6 p.m.
