MSHS ranked in top 50 Illinois high schools
Mahomet-Seymour High School moved up two spots on the Chicago Sun Times top 50 high school list which was released on Oct. 31. After analyzing scores on state achievement tests, MSHS is ranked 34th in the state.
In 2011 they were ranked 90th, and in 2012 the school moved up to 36th.
“Being recognized by the Chicago Sun Times as a top 50 high school is a tremendous honor, and is a testament to the hard work and dedication that our students and staff demonstrate on a daily basis,” said MSHS Principal Shannon Cheek.
Cheek also recognized the continued support of the K-12 staff of the Mahomet-Seymour School District.
“Our students, staff and community take great pride in their schools, and have worked together to create an expectation that is consistent with our motto, ‘Committed to Excellence,” he said.
