Chatham Glenwood brings Mahomet-Seymour soccer season to an end

Mahomet-Seymour’s girls’ soccer team exited the postseason on Tuesday (May 23) with an 8-0 Class 2A sectional semifinal loss to Chatham Glenwood at Normal West.
Glenwood will face Rochester, a 2-0 winner over Normal West in the Friday (May 26) sectional finals at 6 p.m.
M-S ends the season with a 13-6-3 overall record.
Twenty Bulldogs scored goals this spring and 21 created assists.
The team’s scoring leaders were Paislee Welge (21 goals), Grace Binkley (eight goals), Emma Dallas (eight goals), Abby Bunting (six goals), Gwen Cambron (six goals) and Ella Walk (six goals).
Dallas led in assists (nine), followed by Brielle Galvan (seven), Walk (six), Welge (six) and Binkley (five).
The Bulldogs posted nine shutouts for the season and were held scoreless in just three matches.
