Changes to first day of kindergarten for 2018-2019 school year
The first day for Middletown Prairie kindergarten students will look different next year.
In order to help students acclimate to the building and the classroom, a staggered attendance approach will be tested.
On Friday, August 17, students and parents will schedule a 15-minute slot with the teacher to
come in and talk, tour the room and get comfortable. At this time, parents can share many
details about their child and the teacher can address any concerns a family might have.
On Monday, August 20, one half of kindergarten class will attend school for a full day.
On Tuesday, August 21, the second half of the kindergarten class will attend school for a full day.
On Wednesday, August 22, all kindergarten students will attend.
