Zach Carr and Will Sampson each powered their first home runs of the spring and Blake Wolters went 2-for-2 at the plate on Monday (May 3) as the Mahomet-Seymour baseball team topped Centennial 13-2 at home.
Scoring two runs apiece were Carr, Sampson, Nate McFall, Andrew Norman and Wolters.
Wolters pitched a complete-game, five-inning two-hitter. He walked one, struck out seven and didn’t yield an earned run.
M-S (6-4) returns to action on Thursday (May 6) at home against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond.
