Bulldogs secure Apollo Conference win over Taylorville

Dayten Eisenmann and Luke Koller each scored 10 points on Friday (Feb. 11) as the Mahomet-Seymour boys’ basketball team secured a 41-35 Apollo Conference win at Taylorville.
Wyatt Bohm added seven points for the Bulldogs.
Blake Wolters handled a team-high nine rebounds to go with four assists. Quenton Rogers also distributed four assists.
The Bulldogs led, 18-11, at halftime, but Taylorville had closed within 27-26 entering the final period.
On Saturday (Feb. 12), M-S’ three-game winning streak came to a halt in a 69-54 loss to St. Charles North in the Danville Shootout.
Wolters turned in a 23-point, eight-rebound performance. Bohm put up nine points and six rebounds.
Jake Waldinger tallied eight points, Eisenmann scored seven points and handed out four assists. Rogers finished with three assists.
St. Charles turned a 15-14 lead after one quarter into a 37-22 halftime cushion. The second half was played even, with each school scoring 32 points.
M-S (15-13) returns to action on Thursday (Feb. 17) in its home finale against Lincoln.
