Bulldogs rally for win on senior night

After allowing four runs in the top of the seventh inning to fall behind, Mahomet-Seymour’s softball team rallied for an 11-10 win at home over Monticello on Tuesday (May 9) in a Senior Game contest.
The walk-off win occurred when Madelyn Logsdon delivered a two-out hit to provide M-S its third and final run of the inning. Logsdon had a home run among her two hits and three RBI in the non-conference contest.
Kenadi Granadino, Ava Henderson, Kayla McKinney and Jenna Wade all produced two hits. McKinney knocked in two runs.
Kalista Granadino, Kenadi Granadino and Wade all tallied two runs.
Henderson pitched all seven innings to grab the victory. She walked four batters and struck out three.
The M-S seniors are Kenadi Granadino, McKinney, Wade and Sydney Ward.
On Monday (May 8), Logsdon collected three of M-S’ six hits, but the Bulldogs dropped an 8-4 non-conference decision at Heyworth.
Kalista Granadino stole three bases for the Bulldogs.
Henderson pitched all six innings, walking one batter and striking out three.
M-S (10-15) will return to action on Thursday (May 11) at home against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley.
