Bulldogs pick up victory at home

Returning to action on Tuesday (Nov. 29) after an eight-day layoff, both the seventh- and eighth-grade Mahomet-Seymour Junior High boys’ basketball teams emerged with victories at home.
The eighth-graders used a balanced scoring attack to defeat visiting Champaign St. Matthew, 35-27.
Parker Henry led the way with an eight-point outing. Bryson Tiefenthaler netted seven points. Teammates Eli Dyer and Ben Ohms each contributed six points.
The eighth-graders have a 7-2 season record.
The M-S seventh-graders rolled to their ninth consecutive victory, overpowering St. Matthew, 41-13.
Jackson Golden came off the bench to score a game-high 12 points. Other Bulldog scoring leaders were Collin Whooley (six points), Konner Fisher (five points), Tristen Adams (four points) and Preston Clark (four points).
Both M-S teams return to action on Thursday (Dec. 1) at home against Rantoul Eater.
